Juliet Suri McKinnon is a Balanced Body Certified Pilates Instructor in both mat and apparatus training. She is also a certified Pink Pilates Breast Cancer Rehabilitation exercise specialist and a Master Balletone Instructor. She studied ballet for 12-years in Boston, Massachusetts and has been practicing Pilates since 1992, first as a student and then as an instructor.
Juliet has been part of the fitness industry since 2000 teaching a variety of formats to include Spinning, Boot Camp, Muscle Sculpting, Balletone, and of course, Pilates. By 2009, however, she limited almost all of her teaching to Pilates because of the unique and unparalleled results she saw these students.
Believing that fitness is multifaceted, Juliet brings other key components of total health to her Pilates sessions. She holds a Masters Degree in Nutrition from Tufts University and practiced in this field until she transitioned to becoming a fitness professional. Over the years she has been a Nutrition and Aging Researcher at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, a Division Leader at the Women, Infants and Children Overseas Program in Friedburg, Germany and a stay-at-home mom from coast to coast. Juliet currently lives in Portsmouth, New Hampshire with her husband, two children and two labs. She credits the strength and flexibility that she has maintained over the years to her own daily Pilates practice.
